I was working in the lab, late one
night...
 Is
your little pumpkin convinced that her cute little stuffed bear
turns into a snarling grizzly in the dark? Or that the
boogeyman lives in her closet, only waiting to spring, fangs bared,
until you have shut out the light and left her alone for the night?
At one time or another, most kids are convinced that there are bad
guys in the closet or monsters under the bed. Kids can have
quite an imagination, especially when it comes to thinking up new
ways to stay up late, or trying to convince you to read just ONE
MORE STORY, because she is scared to go to sleep.
Seriously though, these fears are very real to children. As
movies, books, cartoons and even commercials get more frightening,
small (and even medium sized) children can have trouble shutting off
that fear because they don't yet have the skills or knowledge to
rationalize that the boogeyman can't live in their closet... he's
just too big to fit! I don't know about you, but the first
time I saw one of those scary alien type movies, I slept with the
lights on for week...and dude, that was just last month...
It's no secret that at some point most kids are afraid of the dark.
But, what exactly are they afraid of? What they can't see,
duh! Kids spend a lot of time imagining things and
that doesn't stop just because the sun goes down. Don't
vampires come out when the sun goes down? And as annoying as
it can be, checking the closet before bed every night for monsters
will eventually stop, sometime. But why not help your child
get there faster and easier on his own? Ah! That is
where Fear Fighterz come in!
Our Fear Fighterz are our own solution to kids fears and
anxieties. This product started with my own son who was
intensely afraid of BAD GUYS! Too many super hero movies and
maybe a wee too much video game playing had convinced him that BAD
GUYS! had moved into the house with us. He wouldn't go near a
closet and certainly would not be on a floor of the house alone,
where no one would hear him scream! So, we made a bottle of
Baddie Blasterz. Armed with his super squirter, he was ready
to take on the dark corners and closets all over the house, ridding

(Notice how bad guys is always capitalized, that's how he screamed
it from his bed at 2am!) From this beginning idea, he told me
that, in his expert 8 year old opinion, kids are afraid of monsters,
bad guys, aliens, vampires, superhero villains, dragons, witches,
boogeymen and scary dreams!
So, that would make up our new front line of defense against all
that scares him - and maybe your kids too!
These little buggers look just like mini fire extinguishers and are
ideally sized for small hands. Please remember that parental
supervision should still be used! We don't think it's a good
idea to give small kids a bottle full of anything spray-able and
turn them loose with it! Also, please don't use items like
disinfectant spray or chemical based odor lifters... just picture if
Junior decided that little sis had a monster is bed with her and
soaked her down with it! Or the dog, or the neighbor kid, or
unloaded a can of disinfectant into the coat closet. Not good!
